Why Video Sessions?
I work with many people who prefer video-based counseling services, including those from remote areas of California where trauma-focused therapy is hard to find. Video-based counseling is great for people who want to expand their search for a therapist beyond their local area, who have mobility challenges, or who are feeling cautious about in-person engagements in the age of COVID-19.
How Does it Work?
It's incredibly easy for us to meet by video. Once we've agreed to meet online, I will email you a link to a confidential video platform (similar to Skype or Zoom, but with greater security measures in place). At the time of our scheduled session, you'll simply log onto your email, click the link, and a screen will open up where our meeting will take place. That's it!
In preparation for our meeting, I recommend you select a private and secure room with no interruptions, such as a private room in your home. It is also important to test out the camera and microphone features on your computer to ensure they are turned on prior to meeting.
